Very excited to announce that I passed the ASWB MSW Licensure Exam on Dec. 21st.
· Course Assistance and Administration: Managed undergraduate Social Policy course, involving comprehensive syllabus preparation, the digital learning environment, Desire2Learn (D2L) structuring, and execution of various administrative duties.
· Student Engagement and Support: Provided timely and effective responses to undergraduate students' inquiries, facilitating a supportive learning environment. Played a key role in addressing student concerns, clarifying course materials, and enhancing student understanding.
· Grading and Feedback: Responsible for grading assignments, quizzes, and exams. Delivered constructive feedback to students to guide their academic improvement and understanding of course content.
· Lecturing and Presentation: Led two lectures per week, effectively conveying course material and engaging students through interactive discussions and relevant examples. Demonstrated strong communication and presentation skills.
· Collaborative Team Member: Worked collaboratively with the course professor and department faculty, contributing to the planning and execution of course objectives. Demonstrated strong organizational and teamwork skills in supporting the educational mission of the department.
· Course Development Support: Enhanced the educational framework by assisting with the editing and updating of the syllabus, digital learning environment, Desire2Learn (D2L) instructions, and course calendar, ensuring clarity and up-to-date information for optimal student engagement.
· Virtual Student Support: Provided comprehensive virtual assistance to students, addressing queries and concerns promptly through digital platforms to facilitate continuous learning outside the classroom environment.
· Academic Evaluation and Feedback: Contributed to student learning by grading in-class assignments and offering constructive feedback.
· Student Mentorship: Conducted mentoring sessions, offering personalized academic guidance and support to students, thus promoting a more in-depth understanding of course content and encouraging personal development.
· Lecture Delivery and Material Creation: Led the Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) module by preparing and delivering engaging lectures complemented with self-created PowerPoint presentations, enhancing student comprehension and engagement with critical societal issues.
Delivered a guest lecture on “Disability Diversity in the Workplace,” providing an overview of my research findings from my internship.
· Conducted a lecture on Competency 6: Engage with Individuals, Families, Groups, Organizations, and Communities, enhancing group discussion and deepening student comprehension of this fundamental social work competency.
· Assumed responsibilities for undergraduate faculty members, facilitated class discussions, and addressed student inquiries.
Empowering Social Workers: Inspiring Action, Leading Change was the 2024 theme for the annual legislative and policy event organized by the National Association of Social Workers (NASW) Tennessee Chapter in coordination with university social work programs across the state.
As the in-person Social Policy instructor, I was in charge of organizing an on-campus virtual 'Watch Party' for the SWDOTH event. Responsibilities included event marketing and collaborating with faculty to merge classes, effectively boosting department-wide engagement and interest in the event.
