Starting Spring 2025, I began serving on the Social Work DCC, supporting CSWE curriculum alignment, refining syllabi and D2L course shells for consistency, and creating the True Blue Course proposal for Introduction to Substance Use to strengthen integrative learning, critical thinking, and student engagement.
Feb. 2025 - POGIL Workshop Participation
(Process Oriented Guided Inquiry Learning) workshop focuses on student-centered, inquiry-based teaching strategies that enhance critical thinking and collaboration. By integrating structured group work and active learning techniques, POGIL fosters deeper engagement and comprehension.
Nov. 2024 - Learning, Teaching, and Innovative Technologies Center: Participated in the "New Faculty Learning (NFL)" lecture series focused on Backward Design. Collaborated with the center's team to enhance and develop engaging online course offerings.
Sep. 2024 - MT Engage: Promotes a culture of engaged learning by supporting students' development as integrative and reflective thinkers. Completed Part 1 of training to adapt courses to meet MT Engage requirements and applied for advanced training scheduled for summer 2025.
