Research and Curriculum Specialist - people3 (part-time position)

June 2024 - April 2025

Collaborated with People3 to enhance organizational culture across diverse industries. My work centered on creating practical tools to help organizations implement inclusive practices, with a focus on the intersectionality of social identities—such as race, gender, and socioeconomic status—and their influence on individual experiences. Additionally, I contributed to the review of a workplace training program on generational diversity. I co-facilitated two sessions, providing case studies for participants to analyze real-world scenarios and integrate new perspectives into their business practices.

Enhancement of BSW Admissions Orientation presentations and development of the online modules

Research and Curriculum Specialist - people3 (part-time position)

June - August 2024

Contracted by Stickle Consulting, LLC, to conduct qualitative research on successful educational and vocational programs within prisons. The project involved coordinating and conducting interviews with key stakeholders to gather insights for developing similar programs nationwide. The initiative focused on evaluating the success and challenges of educational opportunities for individuals who are incarcerated, to enhance post-release outcomes, and reduce recidivism. Additionally,  co-authored a Policy Report Article to summarize the findings and advocate for community coalition-building to support the reintegration of formerly incarcerated individuals through education .

Enhancement of BSW Admissions Orientation presentations and development of the online modules

July - August 2024

Redesigned the Middle Tennessee State University Bachelor of Social Work (BSW) Admissions Orientation presentations to better meet the needs of prospective students and align with the new structure in the Department of Social Work (see links below for the final products). In response to feedback requesting shorter in-person sessions, the original presentation was split into two parts: a streamlined version for in-person use and an online component for students to review supplemental materials within a week. The redesign involved thoroughly reviewing and updating all materials to enhance clarity, inclusivity, and relevance. The presentations received a modern design upgrade to improve visual appeal and effectiveness.

Pepople3: Generational Diversity Training

As a Research and Curriculum Specialist with People3, I co-facilitated  the first of two Generational Diversity training sessions for a larger corporate client. I also assisted with the editing of the presentation by developing  applicable case studies and producing an infographic featuring a B.R.I.D.G.E. acronym to serve as an easy reminder on how to navigate  generational differences in the workplace:

B - Build Empathy

R - Respect Differences

I - Integrate Hybrid Approaches

D - Develop Cross-Generational Teams

G - Give Ongoing Feedback
E - Encourage Flexibility
